If your MailPoet subscription form isn’t sending confirmation emails, it’s often due to configuration issues or server-related restrictions. MailPoet relies on proper email setup to deliver those emails, especially for double opt-in (confirmation) processes.
âś… Common Reasons & Solutions:
🔹 1. Double Opt-In Not Enabled or Misconfigured
Problem: The form might not be set to send a confirmation email.
Solution:
Go to MailPoet → Forms
Edit your form and check if “Send a confirmation email” is enabled
Also ensure you’ve selected a confirmation email template
🔹 2. Wrong Sending Method Configuration
Problem: If MailPoet is not properly set up to send emails, confirmation mails will fail.
Solution:
Go to MailPoet → Settings → Send With
Choose MailPoet Sending Service (recommended) or set up a reliable SMTP
Test email sending from MailPoet → Emails → Send Test Email
🔹 3. Domain Not Verified with MailPoet Sending Service
Problem: If you’re using MailPoet’s own sending service, your domain may need verification.
Solution:
Go to MailPoet Account Dashboard and follow domain verification instructions
This ensures better deliverability and avoids spam filters
🔹 4. Plugin Conflict or JavaScript Errors
Problem: Another plugin or theme may be conflicting with form submission.
Solution:
Use browser developer tools to check for JavaScript errors
Disable other plugins temporarily and switch to a default theme (like Twenty Twenty-Four) to test
If you’re still facing issues, MailPoet has excellent support and documentation to help you troubleshoot further.
